Our Wines

2004 Pinot Noir—Temperance Hill Vineyard
The 2004 growing season was long and warm; similar in many ways to 2002 and as a result the wines are cousins in texture and structure-big ripe red fruit, ample viscosity and defined tart cherry in both aroma and flavor. More generous acidity, the hallmark of Temperance Hill fruit is apparent yet balanced and lends itself to the overall age-ability of this sumptuous wine. Finally, a Mystic Pinot perfect for Salmon and Steelhead! • $24/bottle or $288 by the case
2002 Merlot
The benchmark and mainstay of Mystic has always been our Merlot and vintage 2002 is no exception. Classic Red Bordeaux structure polished and redolent of years past. Wild blackberry and vanilla oak spice lend mature fruit flavors to the soft yet solid balance and lingering finish. • $24/bottle or $288 by the case
2002 Reserve Merlot     SOLD OUT
Our RESERVE - a different barrel selection and fractions of press juice, this wine feels weightier and more viscous as well as slightly more dense in its blackberry fruit. When melded together with the toasted coffee accents of these barrels, this wine has become a standout! Add in a year of bottle age to round out the softness of tannins and voila! Only available at the winery and a few fine restaurants • $35/bottle or $420 by the case
2002 Cabernet Sauvignon     SOLD OUT
Our best effort yet from this wonderful Mill Creek Valley site south of The Dalles. This fruit has that solid, intense Cabernet character — a little tobacco leaf, some briar and blackberry, and even a touch of dill thrown in for good measure. Maturation in lots of medium toast French oak has complimented the currant flavors and aroma. The formidable structure has been tamed by our requisite year of bottle age so that the flavors are crisp and pronounced without overwhelming your mouth in tannin. This wine definitely opens up with a little time in your glass. Only 150 cases were produced. • $28/bottle or $336 by the case
2005 Smith-Cerne Syrah
Typical of Syrah from Smith-Cerne Vineyard the 2005 is smokey and full of black pepper spice. Typically coarse tannin and brimming with dark fruit at this stage (young) yet at the same time this wine shows balance and a finesse that usually only appears after several years of bottle age. Always great with bar-b-que, rich stews, and fall soups. • $20/bottle or $240 by the case
2005 Barbera
Another Mystic first; this wine is the first commercially produced Barbera made in Oregon. Barbera is traditionally grown in Northern Italy where the season is long enough to mature the loads of acidity inherent in the grape. The bench above the Columbia River accomplishes the same feat. This truly is Winemakers’ wine - rich, concentrated, briary fruit with a touch of resin character and enough backbone and structural acidity to compliment the richest of foods. Try it and see if you don’t agree! • $28/bottle or $336 by the case
2004 Zinfandel
More aromas of rich raspberry preserves than anything else delight your olfactory senses while the essence of the fruit is concentrated as it coats your tongue. Ample alcohol adds to the sweetness effect in the mouth without drying or a residual “heat” in the finish. This wine is great with just about anything and holds it’s own without overpowering many desserts—pairs especially well with chocolate. • $20/bottle or $240 by the case

Our goal is to stay small, handle the wines and winery ourselves and produce outstanding hand-crafted wines in limited quantities. The wines are ready to drink upon release yet will also benefit from additional cellaring. SALUTÉ!
