Shaman

2003 Shaman

Shy at first, decanting opens to a plethora of deep warm red berry fruit hints of cocoa, and a touch of cedar spiced wood. Viscous and voluptuous in the mouth with a harmonious Cab backbone, fullness from the Syrah, and brighter acid driven freshness from the Zin component. Smooth and easy to drink now but enough stuffing to develop for 5 more years.
48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Syrah, 12% Zinfandel @ 15.1% alc.

2004 Shaman

Enticing aromas of bright red fruit layered with vanilla, hints of dusty chocolate and cloves create a luxurious balance of soft, expansive yet structured dark berry flavors on the palate. Textured bold and brambly mid-palate finishes silky smooth with years of pleasure to come. (ageworthy)
47% Cabernet Sauvignon, 42% Syrah, 11% Zinfandel @ 15.3% alc.

2005 Shaman

Rich aromas of cassis followed by ripe cherry lead to luscious concentrated currant and berry flavors that are still somewhat tight. Decant prior to drinking or better yet age for 5 more years before enjoying. The Cab component will evolve and soften to round out this overall big boy.
49% Cabernet Sauvignon, 41% Syrah, 10% Zinfandel @ 15.6% alc.

2006 Shaman

Young and brazen with great structure and balance already. This wine will benefit the most from further aging of these 4 wines. 2006 was warm and the rich & ripe fruit and bold tannins are evident in this wine. Consistent with its brothers it is drinking well right now but has the stuffing and structure for years of smooth development.
46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 42% Syrah, 12% Zinfandel @ 15.2% alc.
